Methodology: how we compare eSIM prices

Once a day we read the published eSIM plan prices on providers’ pages and sort all plans by price. Data on 8 Oct 2026: 370 plans from 5 providers. Provider selection does not depend on price.

What we compare

eSIM plans of the “X gigabytes for Y days” kind for a single country. We do not include unlimited plans, daily-cap plans, regional or global plans, plans in megabytes, top-ups or bundles with a phone number. They are measured in different units and cannot fairly share one table.

What is excluded and how many

On 8 Oct 2026 providers list the following on their country pages, but we do not take them into the main table (number of plans across all 10 countries):

Plans with SMS and calls (on 8 Oct 2026: 4, from eSIMX) are not mixed with data-only plans: they include a different set of services and their price per GB is lower today, so in the main table and in the “cheapest” cards they would look better without a like-for-like basis. They are shown in a separate block on the country page, sorted by price; in the open data they have the field sms_calls = true.

How often we update

Once a day, around 04:00 UTC. If a provider’s data could not be collected, we show the previous values for up to 72 hours with their own check date; older prices are hidden. The date on a country page is the date of the last successful check.

How we access other sites

We read robots.txt first and do not request what it disallows. No more than one request per second per site. We identify ourselves: esimdar-price-checker (+https://esimdar.com/methodology; contact via esimsos.net; support@esimsos.ru). If a site answers with a refusal (403, 429), we do not bypass protection and do not retry. We take only facts about plans — country, data, validity, price, link — and do not copy texts or images.

Currency and exchange rate

The dollar price is as published by the provider; Yotti publishes roubles and the dollar value is converted from them. For conversion we use the rate applied by the eSIM SOS shop: 85.48 RUB per USD on 8 Oct 2026. The rouble price for eSIM SOS is as in its cart. The price at the provider’s checkout may differ: taxes, promotions, currency, your country.

How we sort and calculate

Who is not in the comparison and why

If you represent a provider and want to be added or have your prices removed, write to support@esimsos.ru.

Limitations

We do not test connection quality and do not recommend what to buy. Prices change; check the price on the provider’s page before buying. Provider networks and plan terms may differ in ways the table does not show.

Corrections and removal

Found a wrong price or want your prices removed? Write to support@esimsos.ru. We act on removal requests immediately (the provider is hidden and removed from JSON and CSV) and reply within 1 business day. Data errors are fixed within 3 business days.

Who owns the site and how it earns money is on the “How we make money” page. All data is open: JSON and CSV.
